The ANZ bank is to axe about 250 jobs across Australia as part of the consolidation of some of its state-based centres.
ANZ says it will close five administrative mortgage offices in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Hobart.
The bank says the majority of the work will be outsourced.
